Facilities in lab include a molecular laboratory, a microscope laboratory and various equipments for zoological studies. The zoological collections, associated with the laboratory, houses more than 5 million specimens and it has been recognized to the largest zoological collections in Asia. It has 6 sub-collections: the Insect Collection, the Invertebrate Animal Collection, the Bird Collection, the Mammal Collection, the Fish Collection, the Reptiles and Amphibians Collection.
